#Repost @jillroy ・・・ #Repost @jasonmadarastudio ・・・ NEW WORK / BROWN JORDAN BRAND CAMPAIGN (@brownjordan1945) / / In the fall of 2022, I spent 10 days shooting a brand campaign for Brown Jordan in LA. Those who know me know the love I have for interior design and products that are beautifully made. / When I was approached with this project by longtime friend and collaborator Mark Frankel, he asked me to come up with a concept that leveraged the brand’s California roots. An LA native, my first thought was that the brand imagery needed to capture the unique lifestyle of Southern California and, most importantly, the distinctively warm and clear quality of SoCal sunlight. / Mark and I took a deep dive into the history of the brand and were able to pay homage to Brown Jordan’s own photographic heritage by photographing two iconic Walter Lamb chairs at the Stahl House (Case Study House #22) 63 years after Julius Shulman shot the same collection at the same house. / We spent 4 days shooting at several beautiful homes in LA with the amazing Jill Roy producing (@3star_productions) (@jillroy), and then Nick (My 1st) and I hopped into a Sprinter and took two Walter Lamb rockers on a photographic road trip, capturing shots of them in iconic SoCal landscapes. / Aside from the print campaign, I also directed a short commercial for each of the 8 collections within the Brown Jordan family, working with talented DP Yong W. Kim (@yongwkim).
