Born in Mexico City, raised in Barcelona, with Colombian blood, and now based in New York, this young photographer has studied communications, philosophy and cinema. After exploring many professional options, Camila now has her own photo studio in Brooklyn and is developing her personal project as a photographer.
From Fashion to Portraiture, Video-art and Performance, she explores minimalism, color and femininity in all the angles of her work.
Photographer and director Camila Falquez’s creative point of view is shaped by her background in ballet and contemporary dance. She is inspired by the human body and sees its movement through space as a kind of universal language.
Falquez has shot for labels including Louis Vuitton and Hermès, as well as for publications such as Teen Vogue, Purple and Spanish Vogue.
Her debut solo exhibition BODY OF WORK was shown at Picture Farm Gallery in New York City, and featured work from her travels to Paris, the United States, Colombia and Senegal.
