In her latest residency at Cap de Creus (via the InCadaqués Festival), French photographer Cloé Harent offers a poetic excavation of memory embedded in rock and light. In Memoriam Terrae unfolds across the fossil-like textures and silent crevices of this coastal promontory—an intimate dialogue between geology and time, where the absence of human presence amplifies the Earth's whispers.
Cloé Harent (b. 1998) is a graduate of Toulouse’s ETPA (2019, Special Jury Prize) whose work intertwines sensitivity to the land and documentary vision. Resident at InCadaqués and Maison de la Photographie des Landes in 2025, her previous series—Le lien de la terre and Bruit rose—are attestations of her deep bond with living ecosystems and rural practices. This caption captures the sculptural memory of Cap de Creus, situating Harent’s vision within the terrain. It emphasizes place, sensory detail, and her broader artistic journey, lending credibility and allure typical of critical press.
