The Agents Club

@valentinabeijing is a documentary photographer based in London. Her work focuses on the strange, the marginal, and the overlooked - capturing unconventional realities and lives with deep empathy and sensitivity. Through a careful yet gentle lens, she reveals the nuances, hidden symbols, and quiet gestures that are often ignored or misrepresented, offering a thoughtful exploration of what lies beneath the surface. She received several awards including the First Prize at the Istanbul Photo Awards in the Story Daily Life category with her series "Were Afghan Women to Unveil Their Tales".

This is a powerful project offering a respectful, intimate look into the lives of Afghan women today.
Since the return of the Taliban, more than 70 new rules have been imposed to restrict women’s access to education, work, healthcare, and even basic freedom of movement.
In this harsh reality, Afghan women face daily limitations - in public and at home. But despite everything, they continue to show remarkable strength. From running businesses to simply stepping outside, their everyday actions have become powerful acts of resistance.
