Today is Passover AND Earth Day…
Last September I bought an overgrown hayfield in a valley down the road from my house. I am not exactly sure why, I didn’t have a plan but something drew me to it. I would walk over every day and listen to the different sounds which changed depending on the direction of the wind. Most found it to be just a big mess with all the Briars and vines, While I found such beauty in it. Andrew and I bought a brush hog and when I am working over there, I am not thinking about anything else which is really nice. Today it was a gorgeous Spring morning! The sun rose over the Apple Orchard which we uncovered and rescued and the birds were chatting each other up over the rushing of the river. I always wonder what they are saying. Trees that were not in blossom yesterday are today. A new gift with each visit this month. There is a family of wild turkey that run as soon as they see me. They clearly don’t know I am friend not foe. This is where I have found happiness. Creating a world. And dreaming that the one out there can be filled with this peace and there could be love and human kindness towards one another and this earth that we love so.
