Loved being part of this project because of all the incredible people involved — especially @maiajames , who is love and grace personified. I’ve been obsessed with movement that’s raw, intentional, and alive for as long as I can remember — the kind of dance that tells the truth without saying a word. Casting dancers is one of my favorite things. I’m constantly moved by the passion they bring to every audition tape, the gratitude they show just to be considered, and their devotion to creating, even knowing that sometimes the best takes end up on the cutting room floor.
