The project was an expedition for Natural World Safaris @naturalworldsafaris set in Svalbard, the Spitsbergen Archipelago. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Here I am. Standing on a short snow-dusted peninsula - ice on the beach. Grand, pristine mountains surround our boat afloat in the bay. It’s cold. No sun. Few noises: water lapping, dampened footsteps, a gentle murmur, clicking and rasping. A mass of walrus jostling for position. 1am - still light... always light. Air thick with flakes.
