Born in Brazil, Jair Lanes started his carreer as a photographer's assistant in Paris. A few years later, he openend a black & white photo lab in Sao Paulo and worked in photo-journalism, before moving back to Paris where is is based since 2012.

Jair's  work shows poetic and sensory images encrypted by light and silence. Some stills are images as we often perceive them when we wake up: our eyes are neither completely open nor completely closed.
