Margherita Chiarva has always done things differently.
Originally from the Piedmont, the photographer was born in and is still a resident of Milan, dividing her life between her home city and Ibiza.

Margherita has always been drawn to the subtle stories in pictures and had this intuition of wanting to tell stories. She enrolled into cinematography at Milan University and eventually realised she preferred to work alone, which led her to do her Masters in Photography at Central Saint Martins in London.

She uses experimental analogue printing techniques, working with rare type of papers, chemicals and support.
She conceives an organic photography, whose ally is the subject-object of the photographic process.

She has exhibited in fairs, group shows and galleries in Rome, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Istambul and London.
"The Space in Between", like an oracle for a transcendental path, closes an evolutionary circle opened towards the end of the 19th century by British pioneer Anna Atkins.
