Rachel Louise Brown is a photographer, photo director & lecturer. She graduated from the the School of Visual Arts (NYC) followed by a MA in Photography at the Royal College of Art.

Each scene has an eerie sense of familiarity, but through her heightened visual approach, we as viewers are pulled by this and are left with the understanding that not everything is quite as it seems.

In her most recent project, Simulations, a four-year collaboration with Palm Beach Photographic Centre in Florida, Rachel constructed a series of work exploring the strange tension between reality & fantasy in the American hotspot known for its ‘Imagination Stations’.

Having travelled for residencies across Europe and the United States, Rachel’s work continues to be recognised with her most recent exhibition of Simulations at Somerset House as part of Photo London fair, and awards including Magenta Flash Forward, the PDN emerging artist & Fujifilm distinction awards.
