With Czech roots, Tereza Mundilová is a young photographer and director based in Berlin.

She grew up in Vienna and started taking pictures with an old digicam at the age of 5, spending her afternoons working on color grading and special effects. As a teenager, she went on making short films and photography shoots with her friends.

Tereza studied photography in Berlin before enrolling at the University of Arts in Berlin and later at the Cooper Union in New York.

She is the founder and curator of XZY Magazine, worked for two years as the editor of Vogue Germany’s video department before focusing on her own career as a photographer and director.

Being interested in the way male and female bodies have been portrayed, Tereza’s work can be seen as a form of activism. By portraying soft and vulnerable versus powerful and heroic perspectives on other bodies, she offers a more diverse perception of these narratives.
