‘My First Rodeo’, a project by Phoenix based photographer and director @k_reckd . Working across digital and film, Reck approaches the rodeo as both spectacle and first encounter, bringing a cinematic eye to moments shaped by speed, precision, and atmosphere.

“Growing up in the midwest I spent a lot of time on farms with just about every farm animal you can think of. Even with it being a part of my life I never once had been to a rodeo, nor any show animal events. What an experience it was finally being able to capture the intensity. From barrel racing to bull riding there really is so much adrenaline in the air and that is what I was trying to capture, pure adrenaline with a creative touch. This indeed was my first rodeo.”
