Dust, sky, and 30mph winds — just another day on set in the Mojave.
We accompanied photographer Geordie Wood into the desert for this month’s Wallpaper** fashion story, capturing raw beauty in a landscape defined by stillness — and surprise.
“Our base camp was a vintage gas station, surrounded by nothing but dust and sky,” says Geordie. “What we didn’t anticipate was the wind — relentless, wild, and close to 30mph — and the steady stream of leather-clad Romanian bikers passing through. Maybe that’s another story down the road.”
This shoot was powered by an incredible team — from styling to casting, hair to production — and anchored by Wallpaper’s creative vision.
