Pharrell Williams wearing Louis Vuitton for Air Afrique Magazine

During the unveiling of his Spring/Summer 2025 collection for Louis Vuitton Men, Pharrell Williams introduced a unique collaboration with the creative collective Air Afrique. Founded in 2020, Air Afrique draws inspiration from the legacy of the historic Pan-African airline of the same name, with a mission to spotlight diasporic African arts. Using the airline’s original checkered luggage pattern as a starting point, the collective reimagined it into a fresh tartan design, infused with Louis Vuitton’s iconic Damier motif and vintage-style logos that celebrate the golden era of 60s and 70s travel. This partnership is part of a broader movement to (re)discover and showcase African interpretations of masculine elegance. The collaboration is currently on display at the MET as part of the exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
For the second issue of Air Afrique Magazine, Pharrell appears dressed head to toe in Louis Vuitton x Air Afrique and opens up in an exclusive interview.
