Miss Dior Essence with Natalie Portman
Longtime Dior muse Natalie Portman returns this season as the face of the new Miss Dior campaign, inviting us on a journey through Paris. At the heart of the campaign lies the theme “what one would do for love,” embodied by Miss Dior Essence, a fresh interpretation of the house’s iconic 1947 fragrance. Reimagined by Francis Kurkdjian, Dior’s renowned in-house perfumer, the scent captures the youthful vitality of the original while infusing it with a modern twist through bold bursts of fruit and florals.
The fragrance also pays tribute to the ultimate Miss Dior: Catherine Dior, Christian’s beloved sister. A World War II resistance fighter who later became a flower grower in Provence, Catherine cultivated roses that are said to have been used in Dior’s perfumes. Though she lived away from the spotlight, her strength, resilience, and deep connection to the house’s heritage have forever established her as a timeless muse.
