In 2021, I-D magazine named Gleeson one of the leading Brazilian photographers to follow. In 2022, he was the creative director of the short film “Homem-Peixe” (directed by Allexia Galvao) filmed in the Amazon and inspired by the original legend of the Pirarucu Warrior, the journey of self-awareness of a young man who recognizes his identity as a child of nature.

His evocative body of work BATISMO explores baptism as a process of immersive reconnection. The project won awards in Italy (Cortona On The Move), Slovenia (Kranj Photo Festival) and Holland (LensCulture critics choice prize) as well as two gold medals at Le Salon Des Beaux Arts in Paris. BATISMO was also presented as a solo exhibition in Sao Paulo, London and Berlin in 2023, and a related book was released.
