Yesterday Ralph Lauren received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor, recognizing his extraordinary contributions and influence on American style, culture, and society. He is the first fashion designer to ever do so. Passed honorees include Martin Luther King and Mother Teressa. What a moment! It was truly one of the biggest honors of my life to have worked alongside him for 20 years. For someone of his immense success to be so warm, kind, caring and giving to all around them is unique. Thank you Ralph for giving us a real-life American hero in our industry that serves as an inspiration to us all!
