Jonathan LLense is a French artist and photographer born in Lille and based in Paris. After studying Beaux-arts, Jonathan joined l’École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d’Arles where he graduated in 2013.

There are some consistent traits in his body of work, his images are always vertical and very simply constructed. They draw attention to the motif, centered, often taken in close-up and frozen by a flash, even in daylight.

His first monograph "L’HEURE DU TIGRE" was published by FP&CF in 2016.

His second monograph "UNCERTAIN LIFE AND SURE DEATH" - published by FP&CF in 2021 - is a collection without narrative, direction or real goal shot in India, a visual parenthesis of the world as he lives it.
