Born and raised in Norway, Marius W Hansen was first introduced to photography at age eleven. Marius' work often refers to the tradition of painting, with his use of classical compositions, elegant forms and naturalistic lighting. Alongside his editorial and commercial work, Marius’ photographs have been included in ‘The New English Dandy’, published by Thames and Hudson, and in the exhibitions, ‘Fashion Photography Now’, and ‘Kuba: Journey Against the Current’ at TBA21, Vienna. His work is held in the National Portrait Gallery, London, and in private collections in England and Germany. Marius divides his time between London, Paris and New York.
