In The Studio: Multidisciplinary artist @kennedyyanko invites us into the Pace Paper Studio, where she spent the past year creating works for her show Without Gravity.
Known for her sculptural installations, Yanko pushed herself in this series by embracing a new medium: paper pulp. With paint-covered hands and full-body movement, she pours, stains, and manipulates pulp into textures that evoke the weightless sensation of floating through space. As multidimensional as her process, so is the outcome.
“I’m always looking for levity and a big gesture of longing and infinity.”
Now on view @paceprints , step inside as she walks us through her favorite pieces from the show.
