“OR SOMETHING”, a film by @maryconnorneely and @kareem Before @subwaytakes ever hit the feed, Mary Neely and Kareem Rahma were already writing their own New York story. What began as a DM turned into a year of meetups, long talks, debates, and moments that eventually became a script. @orsomething.mp4 , co-written by and starring Neely and Rahma, was shot guerrilla-style across New York in just 6 days on what they call an “insanely low budget.” The pair shared with Milk exclusive notes, texts, and scratch pages from the early process that shaped the film’s foundation. A fleeting connection between two strangers navigating the city and each other, a full-fledged indie triumph born from conversation.
