Accompanied by a self written, directed, and shot short film in Japan. “I’ve been making music for 25 years and taking photos for 15. Photography taught me to pay more attention to atmosphere, accidents, and the qualities of a place that speak to me. I think I approach music in a similar way. My songs, like my photos, are under-produced and imperfect, like the hair is messy but it works. Martini Shot started as a kind of fantasy lounge-pop record, but while making it, especially after filming this video for the title song in Japan, it became more emotional and cinematic. It’s been taking shape in a very organic way and I am excited to approach the finish line with these 11 songs.
