Carmine Romano shooting Stefano Pilati for Replica Man Magazine Stefano Pilati, based in Berlin, is a renowned fashion designer whose career spans some of the industry’s most iconic houses, including Versace, Jil Sander, Dries Van Noten, and Valentino. He began at Giorgio Armani in 1993 as a menswear assistant and later worked in fabric development at Prada, before becoming Assistant Designer at Miu Miu. In 2000, he joined Tom Ford at Yves Saint Laurent, rising to Design Director of YSL Rive Gauche in 2002, and then Creative Director of the brand in 2004, a position he held until 2012. Afterwards, Pilati led couture collections at Ermenegildo Zegna until 2016, before launching his own label, Random Identities, in 2017. Today, he splits his time between Berlin and Milan and appears on the Autumn 25 cover of Replica Man Magazine, accompanied by an in-depth interview.
