Tim has been fascinated by the power of nature since childhood, and began documenting it photographically from the age of 18. It was 10 years later that he devoted his entire practice to this subject.

Through his images, Tim sublimates species of great diversity, whether outdoors (Endangered, 2017) or in the studio, bringing the animal closer to man, as in the series Dog gods (2010) focuses on the ever-changing relationship between dogs and humans through the diversity of dog breeds.

The highly polished aesthetics of his images - often shot on an emblematic black background - combine with an engaged message, as in the "More than human" series (2012) which illuminates the ethical, scientific and political debates that surround our relationships with the natural world.

Tim’s work has been exhibited internationally and he is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from University of the Arts London in 2013.
