Alice Rosati is a Visual Artist, Photographer and Director based in Paris. Born in Italy, Alice received her first camera for Christmas at the age of four, a cute little Ninja Turtles exemplar.

A self-taught artist, she formed her artistic personality in her father’s advertising agency, where she absorbed the chromatic and aesthetic sense. Growing up in the suburbs of Milan, instead of depressing her, pushed Alice to overcome the limits of their cultural sleepiness.

She graduated from college with a degree in Art history, exhibiting her own photographic art works in various galleries and museums. Alice‘s polyhedric artistic research proposes us a dialectical vision of the absurdity of reality.

It wasn’t until 2008 that Alice made a living out of photography. Her career did certainly took a roaring kick start as we’ve seen her work being featured in Vogue Italia, Vogue Mexico, Vogue Russia, Vogue HongKong, Vogue Polska,  Visionaire, i-D France, Behind the Blinds and Numero Berlin amongst others.

Alice is a storyteller, building up constructed universes where her characters play different roles, creating visions where the known and the unknown have no more boundaries. She developed her aesthetic around the sensuality of bodies and lights.

In 2020, Alice Rosati released her first photobook I AM A MERMAID, featuring a mystical, non-gendered mermaid character in a golden suit... an archetypal image that represents a woman who is comfortable in the deep waters of life, in the roil of emotions and sexuality.
