Amber Pinkerton (b. 1997) is a London based photographer and filmmaker born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica.
Her works are inspired by Caribbean culture, social commentary and socio political context.
Amber's images have documented the beauty of life, specifically in Jamaica, with a rich definition of colour. Her work has quickly gained worldwide attention gathering commissions from magazines such as Document Journal, Dazed, Nataal Media, and i-D. Amber has been featured in The New York Times Style Magazine's list of '15 Creative Women for Our Time' and in the 2020 British Fashion Council's New Wave: Creatives List. She was listed in the Dazed 100 rankings (2020) as well as i-D's ‘Photographers to follow in 2020’ and ‘My Year in Photos’. Her commercial clients include Miu Miu, Gucci, Nike, Fenty x University of Westminster and Ahluwalia Studio x Browns Fashion.
Amber is engaging on various personal works, including a collaborative photography project alongside the documentary film OUTDEH portraying the youth of Jamaica.
