Blair graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where he majored in English Literature and Fine Art. He first moved to London and then to New York, where his cinematic style and narrative approach quickly gained him an esteemed roster of clients.

Blair wrote and directed his first short film entitled "Paper Plane" featuring Elijah Wood, and his recent documentary short, "College Bound," which tracks the first ever senior class of New York City's largest Charter School, won acclaim from both U.S. and international film festivals.
