Based in Paris, Camille Vivier works in between Fashion and Art. Trained at the Beaux-Arts de Grenoble and the Central Saint Martins in London, it is during an internship at Purple that she discovers an uninhibited approach to the world of fashion.

Camille Vivier is a photographer who takes on a wide variety of fields of inspiration, which she constantly renews: architecture, fashion, mythology, painting, literature, psychoanalysis… And it is with great independence that she associates these influences with her curiosity about places and beings.

Nourished by this freedom, her work opens a door to her imagination, never too far from reality. Its recurring themes — nude, still life, urban, fantastic — are completed by a fascination for form, physical and mental space, construction and deconstruction of frames.

Camille has contributed to various magazines, including I-D, Dazed, Another, Numéro, Double, Purple and collaborated with brands such as Eres, Stella McCartney, Martin Margiela, Cartier, Dior, Kenzo. She has also worked with musical artists Perfume Genius and Christine and the Queeens.

Her work has been exhibited in numerous galeries around the world and institutions such as La Maison Européenne de la Photographie and Les Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles. "BODY" is her most recent exhibition in 2019 in Berlin at the Galerie Für Moderne Fotografie.

Winner of the first International Fashion and Photography Festival in Hyères in 1997, Camille came back years later to sign the biannual photographic commission of Villa Noailles. Her book and exhibition at Villa Noailles in 2017 "LES HYEROGLYPHES, ILES D'OR" is a celebration of Mediterranean youth, ancient roots of desire and fragility of bodies.

Camille Vivier also works on independent artistic projects with a strong focus on the female body, challenging the preconceptions about masculinity and femininity, expressing a kind of eroticism we are not so used to look at.
In 2019, she released two books: "TWIST "and "SOPHIE", both published by Art Paper Editions.
TWIST (2019) is an encounter between curved, nude female bodies with avant-garde, anthropomorphic sculptures.
"SOPHIE" is a complex portrait of a female body, conceived as a vessel of power and beauty and not as an object of desire. Sophie’s body turns into a stage expressing a range of various female characters and feelings.
