Mikael Johansson is a Swedish photographer and visual artist working between New York and Stockholm.

Mikael’s dedication and vivid approach to photography comes from a childlike curiosity for the medium. Growing up documenting life in rural Sweden, his passion for photography grew when attempting to replicate ads from skateboard magazines as a teenager. Mikael attended University of Cumbria where he studied Contemporary Art & Photography, learning traditional art and darkroom techniques, as well as a conceptual, project-based approach to photography as a medium.
